Hi

I really enyjoyed the lecture with you today. It is so nice to meet new students with big excpectations and hunger to learn. I hope I can fullfill your wishes and increase your interest in Law.

Today i talked a lot about social medias and all the different programs that I will use during the course. All of them are there to help you in your studies. Just give it a fair chance and you will soon see a red line through the whole course.

Your login to the Cours Homepage is now fixed and tomorrow i will put out the Group list for the assignment.
Check the list and send ma a mail if you want some changes.

I have aloso registerd you in the JKF-Time Management program. You can log in but you can not do anything in the program untill we have the Webinar on September 10th.

Your assignment today was to print out todays lecture slides from Course Homepage and then search on internet for as much information as you can regarding the content in the slides. When you find some good material you copy the intenet link address and paste it in as a comment under this post. Next lecture we will discuss your findings and learn what is good legal sources an what is not so good 🙂 .

That’s it for today.

Take care
Best regards,
Krister

  1. Here is a much bigger map of the different law systems around the world like the one in the last slide of last lecture which also has charts that explain mixed systems.

Also, fun fact: In section 923 of the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch, part 1 is a hexameter and part 3 rhymes.

  2. This page came right up on a google-search. Maybe too easy, but it looks like an informative page even for future studies. Need to mention that it seems to be focusing on US law mostly.

  3. I did a quick search and I found these sites quite interesting. One of the links (the top one) is a page where you can compare two different types of law forms.

I find this link very interesting. It comes from the Canadian Justice department and explain in very basic terms about law. What is the law and why we need laws.

  5. This link has several ways to describe the definion of law.
